Sounds

This is where I collect sound creations.

A playlist of sounds I have made that are typically less than 30 seconds.

Johnathan and I went to see Violent Femmes in concert in 1997, and it was pretty memorable. The band sat with us before they took the stage, and later a shoe was thrown.

When I read this article, I couldn’t stop thinking about how Iceland held a funeral for a glacier. How it’s possible for humans to hold such a profound respect for nature.

At the start of the pandemic lockdown, when we started to notice behaviors in public spaces like grocery stores changing, we–Matt, Josh and I–collaborated to make a sort of dystopian message. Starting with recording the sound of beating/whisking an egg.

When I started playing around in Logic Pro X, I stumbled upon a few sounds that made me think of robots having breakfast. And maybe they are rediscovering their love over a bowl of mixed bolts and washers.

Adding sounds to some words from a small poem I wrote.

Playing around with stringing together sounds that probably wouldn’t go together to paint a picture.
